About Veronicah

Meet Veronicah Anindo Omusale, an 18-year-old with dreams of becoming self-sufficient despite the numerous challenges she faces. Veronicah is a bright and determined young woman who has been battling epilepsy since the age of 10. She is a total orphan and currently lives with her aunt in Wemilabi, Luanda. Despite the setbacks caused by her health, Veronicah is eager to learn and acquire skills that will enable her to support herself in the future.

Health Challenges

Veronicah’s epilepsy has severely impacted her educational progress, causing her to drop out of school in Grade 8 due to frequent seizures. Additionally, she has mild mental retardation, which further complicates her condition. She is under medication to manage her epilepsy and receives counseling to help her cope with her condition and improve her personal hygiene and care.

Despite these challenges, Veronicah remains hopeful and is determined to improve her life through vocational training.

Educational and Vocational Aspirations

Veronicah is currently enrolled at Itando Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities, where she is receiving vocational training in tailoring and knitting. She dreams of mastering these skills to become financially independent and support herself and her family in the future. However, the financial burden of her medical needs and vocational training is overwhelming for her family.

How You Can Help

Veronicah needs your support to continue her treatment and complete her vocational training. Your contributions can help cover the costs of:

  • Medical Services: Ongoing epilepsy treatment, counseling, and personal care.
  • Educational Support: Fees and materials for her vocational training in tailoring and knitting.
  • Skill Training: Continued support at Itando Rehabilitation Center to help her acquire and perfect her vocational skills.
  • Social Needs: Basic necessities and support to improve her quality of life.

The annual cost to support Veronicah’s medical and educational needs is approximately 500,000 KES. Your generosity can help Veronicah achieve her goals and become an independent and productive member of her community.
